Dr. Zhikuan Jia, male, born in January 1962, a native of Shuozhou city, Shanxi province, Ph.D, Professor of Crop Production and Farming System, Supervisor of Ph.D students; Sept. 1978- July 1982: Degree of Bachelor in Agronomy, Department of Agronomy, Shanxi Agricultural University. Sept. 1987- July 1990: Degree of Doctor in Crop production and Farming System, Department of Agronomy, Northwest University of Agriculture. Director of the Key Lab of Crop Physi-ecology and Tillage Science in Northwestern loess Plateau, Ministry of Agriculture, Chief Editor of the journal: Agricultural research in the Arid Areas .
Research areas
Mainly engaged in research on efficient farming system and crop cultivation techniques, crop efficient water use theory and technology in arid areas.
Teaching courses
To teach the subject of crop cultivation and tillage for graduate students.

Presided over more than 30 national and provincial research projects, achieved 1 national award of sci-technological progress, and 6 provincial awards of sci-technological progress. Published 17 monographs and teaching materials (chief editor), 4 patents were granted.
