From October 23 to 26, sponsored by the College of Agronomy, the Sub-forum of Yangling International Agri-science Forum “ Green Production of Crops” was held  in No. 104 room at the International Cooperation and Exchange Center of NWAFU. Over 200 researchers, teachers, and students from home and abroad attended the forum. Professor Shan Weixing chaired the meeting.

Themed on “Green Production of Crops”, the forum invited Professor Murray Grant from the University of Warwick, Associate Professor Miriam Gifford from the University of Warwick, Professor Gary John Loake from the University of Edinburgh, Professor Patrick Schäfer from Ulm University of Germany, Professor Zhan Jiasui from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Karl-Heinz Kogel from the University of Giessen of Germany, Professor Corné Pieterse from Utrecht University of the Netherlands, Professor Tang Dingzhong from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Professor Yao Nan from Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Han Xiaowei from Huazhong Agricultural University, Researcher Liu Junyan from the Institute of Microbiology of CAS, Associate Professor Wang Youning from Huazhong Agricultural University, Professor Sun Liying, Professor Hu Xiaoping, Professor Jiang Cong, and Professor Huang Zhen from NWAFU to gave reports on plant’s stress resistance mechanism, the interactions between plants and microbiology, crop breeding innovation, crop molecular design breeding, and other researches in related field.

The forum is a win-win event both for the reporters and the audience, as it provides a platform for in-depth academic exchange and practical experience sharing by  means of face-to-face communication.
